Number 27, Wine Spectator Top 100 for 2024
94 Points Wine Spectator
Bursting with flavor and personality, this offers lemon meringue, fresh peach and Fuji apple notes up front on a juicy, succulent frame, while amber aromas and salted lime accents emerge on the long, expressive finish.
93 Points James Suckling
Extremely floral with grapefruit and lemon blossom aromas. Hints of stones. Medium-bodied with a dense middle palate. Green mango and lime at the end. Intense and vivid.
91 Points Wine Enthusiast
Like a bowl full of fresh peaches and green apples, this wine brings together an almost sweet ripeness and balancing, crisp acidity that lends a snappy, appetizing texture
91 Points, Decanter Lean bright and angular in the aromatics, this Sauvignon Blanc from the St Supéry Dollarhide estate shows crushed stone and citrus aromas with a hint of smoky flint. The wine is medium-bodied and lush on the palate with ample texture. Fleshy ripe apricots, honey, and savoury herbs and grasses mark the finish.
Winemaker Note
Brilliant hues of pale yellow and green present this white wine. Fresh aromas of grapefruit, kiwi, and fennel are intertwined with a vanillin thread, evidence of the element of subtle new French oak. Yellow grapefruit and lime zest flavors follow with the essence of ripe pear, while the toasted oak qualities of the barrel maturation have encouraged a round, rich mouth feel, along with the subtle creaminess of the sur-lie maturation. This is a crisp yet rich flavorful Sauvignon Blanc.
