Background:
Formerly owned by the Sotor family who sold the North Valley brand to their winemaker, James Cahill in mid-2021. The sale allowed both Soter and North Valley to be 100% estate wines.
 
Vineyard Note:
While the “Willamette Valley” appellation describes a fairly large area – almost 160 miles long, and nearly 45 miles at its widest – it is in the much smaller, northern corner of this region where its overall best vineyards are found. Here in the “North Valley”, we work to nurture and craft our artisan wines, honoring the best raw materials that nature has to provide.
 
Aromas: cocoa powder, thyme, and red currant
Primary Flavors: cassis, bing cherry, and violet
Secondary Flavors: forest floor and baking spice 
Finish: silky and refined
