91 Points Wine Spectator
A crisp and minerally Champagne, with well-cut acidity and a lightly chalky texture that frames flavors of crunchy pear and lemon sorbet with accents of oyster shell, pickled ginger and toasted brioche. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Drink now.
91 Points James Suckling
This has aromas of chopped apples, biscuits, croissants, walnuts, praline and lemon pie. Dry, tasty and toasty, with a medium body, fine bubbles and bright acidity. All in balance. 48% pinot noir, 42% chardonnay, 10% meunier. Base 2016, with 38% reserve wine. Lovely to drink now.
Winemaker Notes
A beautiful gold color. The bubbles are persistent, fine and regular. The nose is pleasant, made very elegant by the large amount of Chardonnay. The Brut Souverain is sharp, well balanced and harmonious on the palate.
