A luscious, chocolaty aroma comes from partly American oak barrels for some coconut and vanilla tones over lavish dark plum and blackberry flavors. The texture is velvety smooth but firmed up by fine-grained tannins. Drink or hold.
 
Winemaker Notes
A wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal as well as the terroir of the Napa Valley. The nose exhibits complex fruit aromas of plum, blackberry and a hint of strawberry, combined with brown sugar and forest floor. The aromas carry through to the palate of blackberry, dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Medium rich tannins are present with a long velvety finish.
