92 Points James Suckling
That means a wine with a intriguing dialectic between dark color and lively acidity, between red and black fruits, all laced with a distinct edge of rosemary and thyme. It’s a structured bottle that’s built for the cellar—perhaps less playful than our other reds, but with a tremendously compelling personality.
Winemaker Notes
The Fir Crest is a big one-dimensional bowl of red cherries, both in terms of aroma and flavor. Punctuating the wall of Bings are faint notes of coconut, lemon zest and pipe tobacco. The wine's mouthfeel is viscous, with plush tannins and pillow soft acidity.
