Pinot Blanc
Old vines are the happiness of every winemaker. They take deep roots and lend a lasting voice to their natural conditions. Pinot blanc has a long tradition in our area. Most of the vines were planted by my grandfather 60 years ago in the limestone of the Seeberg, and a few were planted by my great-grandfather 90 years ago. My task today is to finish telling the story that began with these two.
Pinot Blanc Schützen am Gebirge, Ried Seeberg
The white "Prieler classic": light golden yellow, delicate yellow pear and tropical fruit, a hint of mango, delicate meadow herbs, inviting bouquet, fresh acidity arch, lime on the finish, a perfect food companion.
Pinot Blanc Leithaberg DAC, Old Vines
Characterised by the warmth of Lake Neusiedl and the coolness of the Leitha Mountains. This Pinot Blanc smells of blossom honey and stone fruit. It is dense, juicy with a fresh acid structure and a lemony-mineral finish.
Pinot Blanc Ried Haidsatz
Bright yellow, an elegant bouquet of ripe fruit mixed with yeasty and spicy notes. Juicy, elegant and chalky, with a great blend of salt and tannins, The finish is spicy, long and champagne-like.
Pinot Blanc Ried Steinweingarten
"Light straw yellow, silver reflections. A hint of lime, fine white peach nuances, a hint of tropical fruit and vanilla, delicate meadow herbs, some lemon balm, attractive bouquet. Taut, tight-knit, fine white pear fruit, finesse-rich acidity, salty mineral, still some baby fat, great future potential, precise and clinging." Peter Moser (Falstaff)
