Winemaker Notes:
Deeper ruby color, slightly darker. A pronounced nose with much more focus than the Bourgogne, you an tell there is more more superior fruit from a superior vineyard site, red berries and cherries, a slight touch of oak, subtle spices (50% whole cluster), a beautifully layered nose. On the palate this is wonderfully ripe but focused, balanced, and layered, it should age effortlessly and provide a lot of pleasure over it's lifetime. Freshness, layered, minerality buried deep in the flesh of this wine. Intense palate flavor intensity that is light on its feet. Long, complex, slightly tight finish hints confidently at a long life ahead, though you can most certainly appreciate its charms now with a decant.
