Grape: Cabernet Sauvignon
97 Points Jeb Dunnuck
Coming all from the northern part of the valley, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Calistoga has a beautiful, savory, black and red-fruited style as well as plenty of classic dried herbs, graphite, and loamy earth nuances. It's medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a great finish.
93 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Sourced mainly from Larkmead, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Calistoga includes bits from Kelly Fleming and Switchback Ridge. Cedar, ripe cherries and minty herbs appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is plush and creamy but balanced by crisp acids that impart ample length to the finish.
Winemaker Notes
Coming from two older vine, heritage clones blocks from the south side of Larkmead Lane, this wine is struck by the savory elements contained within; black olive, walnut husks, violets and sandalwood.
