Medium to full-bodied, tenser and fresher than Les Souteyrades, it has good depth at the core, well-integrated tannins and a promising finish despite structured tannins that bring a slightly drying aftertaste. Domaine St. Damien Gigondas La Louisiane is from a single parcel of Grenache planted in 1942, Mourvedre planted in 1977 and Cinsault planted in 1951. Matured about 12 months in oak barrels. Bottled without any fining or filtration.
