93 Points James Suckling
Perfumed aromas of violets, lavender, blueberries, cassis and spiced cherries. Herbs and praline, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, powdery tannins and fresh acidity, despite the richness. Concentrated with a long, chewy finish. Such a beauty already, but better in 2024.
Winemaker Notes
Tapiz is Spanish for “tapestry,” as in the tapestry between the wine's high-altitude fruit and oak. The wine is called Black Tears because of the amazing color intensity. Intense blue and black fruits that stain your glass with its black tears. Concentrated and intense yet elegant and smooth.
